Niigata Specialities Wow! at Tong Le Private Dining

Tong Le Private Dining is famously known for offering a spectacular, panoramic view of Singapore's very own Marina Bay waterfront. If you're looking for an extraordinary dining experience, why not take it to the next level in a revolving tower?

Level 10 of the restaurant offers diners a selection of eight exclusive dining rooms as well as four cozy dining areas. Chic, dark wood furniture in the restaurant exude sophistication and elegance.

This time, Tong Le Private Dining presents the Niigata City Food Fair.

Indulge yourself in a 6-course menu specially put together by Chef Ken Ling who flew to Niigata City to personally hand-pick the freshest ingredients.

Traversed by two great rivers - the Shinogawa and the Aganogawa, Niigata City's bountiful soil and pure water make it famous for its best quality rice in Japan. Niigata's sake and seafood are also a regular hit among connoisseurs. Aside from rice, seafood, and sake, Niigata city also produces a wide variety of fruit and vegetables.

Snow Crab

Freshly caught at the ocean near Niigata City, the Snow Crab's meat is rich, sweetly flavored and concentrated. As fishing for Snow Crab is limited to only certain periods of the year, it is an exclusive delicacy available now that you shouldn't wait to try!

Nanban Ebi

These Sweet Shrimps are called Nanban as their color and shape resemble chili peppers! They leave a delightfully sweet sensation on the tastebuds, with a unique texture different from other shrimps.

Wagyu Beef

No matter which menu we come across, Wagyu Beef is bound to leave a great impression. This dish definitely did not disappoint. The beef is springy, yet delectably soft on the inside. The sauce is not overpowering, but complemented the rich taste of the beef surprisingly well!

Tai-Madai / Seabream

The Tai-Madai has many names: often called the Celebration Fish or King of the White Fish, it is a luxury fish in Japan. Madai has a watery, clean and delicate aroma that left my tastebuds feeling refreshed and revitalized!

Uonuma Rice

Produced using the best rice in Japan, Koshihikari. Inspired by our local cuisine and modeled into Sushi pieces with a touch of Japanese culture, each piece of Chicken sits delicately on a bed of Uonuma Rice. Delightfully fragrant, it has a sweet, nutty taste and slight stickiness.

Le Lectier Pear

As our dessert, the pear brings a soft, mellow fragrance and smooth texture to our palates. As our final dish, it brought a close to our wonderful dining experience.

The sea that Niigata City looks out upon has the best of both worlds as the Shinano, Japan's longest river, carries down nutrient-rich sediment to enrich the sea. The abundance of seafood includes not only fish but also shrimp, crab, squid, and shellfish.
